Renovation of a house in Bonnevoie and addition of a rear annex on two floors
Gutting a house in Luxembourg City. Gutting is mainly carried out when the external appearance of a house is to be retained - i.e. it is particularly beautiful, appealingly old, rustic, romantic, nostalgic or in this case protected - but the habitable space behind it can no longer be used.
As the house was in a very bad condition we decided to do a complete gutting of the building. New concrete flooring and fundaments had to be made to ensure the stabilisation of the protected facade.
The project included an addition of a rear annex on two floors which was quite a challenge since the heavy rain during the project had weakened the adjacent terrain.
